Welcome to The Source

".... we are making contact with young people from all walks of life...."

The Source Young People’s Charity (The Source) exists to make contact with difficult and disaffected young people, who are predominantly between 14 and 25 years old, living in Aldershot and the surrounding area. The Source aims to build relationships with and create opportunities for young people who are struggling at school, in trouble with the law, struggling with family relationships, living on their own, homeless or isolated from mainstream society in any other way.

However, The Source does not seek to exclude young people who are not disaffected and there are many opportunities for them to service their community as well as benefit form the serves at The Source. The Source aims to enable all young people ‘to be, belong and become’. We target those young people outlined because they are the most vulnerable and are most at risk of developing complex and multiple problems. It is through the relationships we build that we can fulfil our mandate to Raise up the Foundations of Many Generations’.

Over 70 volunteers are regularly involved in all facets of The Source and in 2005 their dedication to the young people of Aldershot was recognized with the honour of the Queens Award for Voluntary Service.
