Anger Management

"....helping young people deal with difficult emotions, particularly 'Anger'...."

Aim of the Course

The anger management course is offered to young people using the café, to provide group-work which will teach young people better understanding and skills to deal with difficult emotions. This will enable young people to increase their emotional intelligence, minimising the chances of displacing their negative emotions into inappropriate, anti-social and criminal behaviour.

Aims

  • To help you deal with difficult emotions by providing a service which you can refer yourself on to.

  • To provide an 8 week modular community ‘anger management’ course for young people aged 14 to 21 years.

  • To provide one to one ‘anger management’ counselling as needed for course participants.

Objectives

These aims will be met by:

  • Providing a group-work course divided into 2 x 4 session modules for up to 8 clients.

  • Providing a course that will run 4 times a year.

  • Making one to one counselling available to all clients whilst they are on the course.

Premises/Location

The groups will be run in The Source Café

If you are a young person and want more details on how to refer yourself onto the anger management course, you can:

  • Simply call The Source on 01252 333330, ask to speak to Becky Williams , or leave a message for them to call you regarding Anger Management.
